New test trials set in the UK

(July 24, 2001 CropChoice news) The British government announced today that 30 new crops trials will begin in about a month. Transgenic canola will be planted sometime between August 20 through mid September. The separation distances between the conventional and transgenic varieties sites remain at 50 meters despite the fact that canola cross-pollinates easily. According to Friends of the Earth, the pollen can travel for miles.
